On Thursday afternoon, Jimmy Stanton sustained injuries during a drive-by shooting that later claimed his life at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

The shooting happened at 208 Burnette Avenue, just off of Lovejoy Road around 4:05 p.m.

Investigators haven’t released many details as the investigation is still ongoing. The one thing we do know is that the loss of this young man’s life is tragic as his friends, and the community around him, mourn the loss.

A Community mourns the death of yet another young man’s life.

21-year old Timothy Stocker, Jr. was murdered on August 9, 2015 at the New Green Frog on Okaloosa Island. Just last week the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office issued a murder warrant for a former Crestview resident Jordan Christopher Reeves in connection with the shooting death.

I personally know quite a few people who knew both Stanton and Stocker. And for many in the community, frustration with the recent shootings is at a high.

So now we have to lay another friend to rest??? When the hell is everyone going to wake up? Killing each other is not…
