The National Weather Service out of Mobile, AL. has issued a flash flood warning for southern areas of Okaloosa County.

  • The warning remains in effect until 5:00pm tonight.

“We expect multiple rounds of showers and storms through Wednesday as a weakening front enters and then washes out over the area,” said Okaloosa Public Safety Director Patrick Maddox. “The heavy rain received yesterday and this morning will set the stage for flooding issues through mid-week.”

According to Maddox, Okaloosa has already seen 1-2 inches of rain at many locations along the coast Monday morning.
