In an effort to solve the traffic and parking issues on the Emerald Coast, Walton County locals Steve Burnett and Curtis Spagnola are launching Gulf Coast Go – a fleet of double decker buses and smaller trolleys that will travel along Highway 98 between Okaloosa Island and South Walton and along Scenic 30A. The official launch date will be during Spring Break of 2018.
A Superior Air Conditioning has just announced the launch of a new Preventive Maintenance Plan that integrates with the Nest Thermostat.
Through this program, the Nest Thermostat will be installed and setup to send notifications to you and A Superior Air Conditioning Company when your unit needs to be serviced or is reaching temperatures that are dangerously high or low.
Once they receive the notification, A Superior Air Conditioning Company will contact the customer to schedule a visit and asses the situation.
Tickets are on sale now for Shelter House’s 2nd Annual Palate & Palette Five-Course Wine Dinner and Live Painting on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Legendary Marine showroom by the Mid Bay Bridge in Destin.
The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. and features a live painting and performance by Jon Moody, an award-winning multi-medium artist from New Orleans. Moody’s work has been featured on FOX’s hit show, Empire, as well as in the White House. He has also commissioned paintings for the likes of famous photographer Christopher Anderson, and numerous A-list musicians including Mary J. Blige. His painting was auctioned off for over $5,000 at last year’s event.
The Boardwalk is announcing the closing of The Black Pearl, their Gulf-front restaurant located on Okaloosa Island.
Open for 11 years, The Black Pearl was known for its upscale dining, offering wood fired steak & seafood.
It has been an amazing 2 months with Bikes or Bust. Jason Carducci came to me at the beginning of October and said he wanted to get started now and that his goal was to try and raise $10,000 to buy a ton of bikes for kids.
What started out as a single video and a YouCaring page, ended up with 17 “challenge” videos, multiple segments on EVERYTHING! and a few articles all to help our friends at Highway 98 Country beat their goal of 1,000 bikes.
