A local nonprofit that has spent a decade working to reduce shelter populations is marking its 10th anniversary with a calendar photo contest that invites dog owners nationwide to showcase their pets.

Dog-Harmony announced last week the launch of its “Love in Focus” calendar photo contest, running from June 15 to July 15. The Santa Rosa Beach based organization has provided community education and therapy dog programs for 10 years.

  • The contest requires a $10 donation for each photo entry, with each donation counting as one vote. Supporters can vote multiple times for their favorite dogs, and those who donate $100 receive a free calendar.

The 12 dogs with the most votes will receive professional photo shoots from Wooftografie and be featured in Dog-Harmony’s exclusive 2026 calendar. All proceeds will benefit the organization’s humane education programs and therapy dog team wellness visits.

“Reaching this 10-year milestone is a source of immense pride,” said Nancy Bown, founder of Dog-Harmony. “The ‘Love in Focus’ contest is a fantastic way to celebrate the joy dogs bring and is a crucial fundraiser that enables us to continue our vital work.”

Throughout its decade of service, Dog-Harmony has focused on keeping dogs in homes through community education, deploying therapy dog teams and providing resources for animal welfare.

Dog owners can enter their pets or vote for contestants here. The organization is also seeking calendar sponsors, with sponsorship information available at https://dog-harmony.org/love-in-focus-calendar-contest/.
