C.A.R.E.ing for Turtles is a collaborative outreach and education initiative with Okaloosa County and the Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center. C.A.R.E.ing for Turtles is led by educated staff from the C.A.R.E. Center and Okaloosa County. Guests will learn about sea turtles native to the northern Gulf of Mexico, their nesting habits, the threats they are facing, and what can be done to help protect them. Guests will also get a behind the scenes look into the C.A.R.E. Center and its patients. Lastly, guests will get to conduct a mock intake of an injured sea turtle and learn what can be done on and off the beach to help our sea turtles.
