Folk School Classes at Traditions Workshop – Blacksmith a War Hammer

An Introduction to Blacksmithing class is required as this is an ADVANCED class that will make use of the power hammer, coal forge and you will be using tongs to handle your work.

Starting from a 2 pound, pre-punched and drifted hammer blank we will make our variation of a Warhammer, called “heartbreaker” in honor of the first time we made this one which was on Valentine’s Day.

If you want to stay later you can make the handle for your war hammer using our shaving horse and drawknife after the forging class.

BBQ lunch is included in the price.
