HSU Educational Foundation – Family Fun Hands-On Science Day at the HSU STEM Range learning about Fossilization and Adaptation!

Join the HSU Educational Foundation as we learn about pre-historic creatures and scientists study them at this Family Science Day on Saturday, January 22nd at the HSU STEM Range. Each month 3rd to 5th grade participants and their families will explore STEM skills using hands-on experiences. Participants investigate, analyze and interpret scientific data during each session. These experiences focus on the study of environmental science interwoven with all other fields of science.

January session topic: Fossilization and Adaptation – Amazing creatures once walked on the same ground we do, and even though they are long gone they left behind clues to what life was once like. Investigate and explore how animals have adapted to changing environments and figure out how scientists know so much about animals they have never actually seen before.

Special thanks to our workforce development sponsors for this program Gulf Power and Boeing!
