Little Marler Park Cleanup

March 19, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Please join us at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 19th for a community cleanup at Little Marler Park in Fort Walton Beach!
This cleanup is part of the Okaloosa Community Wildlife Habitat Project. Through this project, our partners are working to certify Okaloosa County as a National Wildlife Federation Community Wildlife Habitat. Part of the certification process requires us to create wildlife friendly habitats, teach the community about sustainable practices, and encourage residents to certify their yard or garden as a NWF Wildlife Habitat.
To kick off the Okaloosa Community Wildlife Habitat Park Cleanup project, we will be hosting a cleanup at Little Marler Park (1247 Siebert Dr, Fort Walton Beach) on Saturday, March 19th from 9 – 11 a.m. Cleanup supplies (buckets, trash bags, gloves, etc.) will be provided. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather!
We hope to see you there! Help us protect our local wildlife by keeping our community clean!
Project partners are Trees on the Coast, Destin – Fort Walton Beach, Keep Florida Beautiful, Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, and Saneka’s Legacy. Funding for this cleanup was provided by CITGO Caring for our Coasts Grant Program and Restore America’s Estuaries for a cleanup project focusing on community parks throughout Okaloosa County.
