Join us and you will be having fun painting with others and improving your watercolor skills. Join watercolorist, Theresia McInnis, to continue her series of “special” techniques. She says, “This has been a popular one, “Rivulets” is a technique I learned from a demonstration by Susan Murphy. There is a very antiqued effect to the finished product.” The image here is a painting in which this technique was utilized.
April classes, we’ll create three watercolor paintings. In these 2-hour classes we will be learning to apply paints that will intermingle on the page, lift highlights, and paint negatively to bring out an image. We will paint 3 separate beach critters utilizing the same technique with each getting a little more involved. The First week we will “scape” a scallop shell. The Second and third week we will “sculpt” a sea biscuit, and lastly, we will “shape” starfish. You will enjoy this fun challenge and learn techniques to enhance your watercolor skills.
Class is suitable for adults with minimal to some experience with painting.
