Fitness, food and family: LiveOak Fiber supports five community events across Okaloosa County in May

LiveOak Locale offers local partnerships and neighborhood engagement through five upcoming events featuring food vouchers, family activities, and community support.

LiveOak Fiber’s “LiveOak Locale,” a monthly event series launched in April, continues with five community-focused gatherings throughout Okaloosa County for the remainder of May.

  • The initiative connects with local residents through strategic partnerships and neighborhood events, according to Tiffany Orner, Community Engagement Manager for LiveOak Fiber.

“LiveOak Locale is where real locals meet, real connections happen, and LiveOak Fiber brings the speed to match,” Orner said. “No tourists. Just townies.”

ECFF Splash of Gold Pool Party – May 17

ECFF

The mid-month activities begin with the Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation’s Splash of Gold Pool Party at the Taj Renee Community Aquatic Center in Destin, celebrating ECFF’s 10th anniversary of community service.

“We’re diving into summer with the Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation at their Splash of Gold Pool Party,” Orner said. “This event is stacked with local pride, from Olympic gold medalist meet-and-greets to a live mermaid show and free treats from Kona Ice and GS Gelato.”

LiveOak Fiber will raffle a TV and 2 premium swag bags to families who share their contact information at the event.

“Because real connection isn’t just fast internet; it’s being part of the splash,” Orner added.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Saturday, May 17, 2025
  • Location: Taj Renee Community Aquatic Center, 4345 Commons Dr W, Destin
  • Features: Olympic gold medalist meet-and-greets, live mermaid show, free Kona Ice and GS Gelato
  • LiveOak Offering: Raffling off a TV and two premium swag bags that each include a Roku.

Brunch on the Coast – May 18

The following day, LiveOak Fiber partners with local real estate professionals for Brunch on the Coast at Tailfins Waterfront Grill in Destin, providing brunch vouchers along with premium swag to Live Oak Fiber customers.

“We’re not just bringing fiber—we’re building local relationships, one mimosa at a time,” Orner explained.

The event, hosted by Maricel Quiroz of Nexa Mortgage and Nadine Parker of eXp Realty, brings together families, entrepreneurs, and homeowners. With over 150 attendees at last month’s brunch and more expected this weekend, Orner describes it as “the perfect space to engage LiveOak’s core audience.”

  • Location: Tailfins Waterfront Grill, 172 Harbor Blvd, Destin

  • LiveOak Offering: Brunch Vouchers + Premium Swag for Live Oak Fiber Customers

LiveOak Locale Lineup – May 25

The company’s signature customer appreciation event comes to Twin Hills Park in Crestview on May 25.

“The LiveOak Locale Lineup is our monthly pop-up-style appreciation event created to celebrate LOF customers right in their neighborhoods,” Orner said. “Expect great food, a laid-back vibe, and the chance to connect with our team in person. No sales pitch, just solid fiber energy.”

  • The event features local partners Rolling Embers Brick Oven Pizza and The Thirsty Ranch, with drinks available for all ages.

“This isn’t a one-off; it’s a monthly movement,” Orner noted. “Each Lineup is a small token of appreciation to the individuals who trust us to power their homes.”

The Lu Memorial Day Workout – May 26

Memorial Day brings The Lu Workout at Bluewater Bay Fitness in Niceville, honoring Louis De Leon and supporting the family of fallen Walton County Sheriff’s Deputy Will May.

  • “Supporting The Lu means more than just showing up; it means standing with those who serve and the families who make sacrifices,” Orner said.

The annual community-driven event blends competitive fitness heats with youth activities, local food, and family-friendly fun. LiveOak Fiber will provide food vouchers for attendees.

“Whether it’s fueling the crowd or bringing smiles to the kids, we’re committed to being there for the people who hold this community together because a real connection means showing up when it counts,” Orner added.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Monday, May 26, 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Location: Bluewater Bay Fitness, 4580 Hwy 20 E #120, Niceville

ECFF Arc Pool Ribbon Cutting – May 29

The month concludes with the grand opening of the ARC, the Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation’s newest aquatic center in Fort Walton Beach.

“This isn’t just a pool – it’s a purpose-built space for inclusion, safety, and access,” Orner said. “With a growing local need for structured aquatic programs and limited public pool access in Okaloosa County, the ARC stands to be a vital resource for families, seniors, athletes, and individuals with special needs.”

LiveOak Fiber will provide food vouchers to Bangin Bowls Food Truck during the celebration, which runs from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

“Our support for the ECFF and this event is rooted in our commitment to showing up for the organizations that keep our communities safe, strong, and connected,” Orner explained. “We are proud to help amplify a mission that saves lives – literally.”

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Thursday, May 29, 4:00-7:00 p.m.
  • Location: 341 Holmes Boulevard, Fort Walton Beach
  • Purpose: Community hub for adaptive recreation, swim lessons, and wellness programs
