5 juveniles charged after allegedly kicking in Fort Walton Beach door in TikTok challenge

Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says suspects admitted to randomly damaging victim's door as part of social media trend.

Five juvenile males face criminal charges after kicking in a Fort Walton Beach resident’s front door over the weekend as part of a TikTok challenge, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Deputies responded to the residence after the front door was forced open and the door frame was damaged. The victim recovered surveillance footage showing several juvenile males approaching the front door and forcing it open before fleeing on foot.

All five suspects admitted to randomly damaging the victim’s door, explaining it was part of a TikTok challenge where participants kick open someone’s door. The victim had no connection to the juveniles.

“This has been a dangerous and illegal social media trend,” said Sheriff Eric Aden. “It puts everyone involved a serious risk. We’re asking parents to please discuss the dangers of this trend with their children to prevent a potential tragedy.”
