LiveOak Fiber offers teacher gift cards, military appreciation and more during July event series

LiveOak Locale event series offers locals free food, drinks and networking opportunities throughout the month with stops in Navarre Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Bluewater Bay and Valparaiso.

LiveOak Fiber’s monthly community engagement series LiveOak Locale returns in July with four events designed to celebrate local connections across Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties.

  • The initiative focuses on pop-up events, local partnerships and community appreciation in neighborhoods served by the fiber internet provider.

Community Engagement Manager Tiffany Orner describes LiveOak Locale as bringing together “real people, real stories, and real fast internet.”

“From coffee shops to festivals, Live Oak Locale is where real locals meet, real connections happen, and Live oak fiber brings the speed to match,” Orner said. “No tourists. Just townies.”

KEY Community Summer Social

LiveOak Fiber will support military community networking at The Island Resort in Fort Walton Beach, offering appreciation to service members and their families.

“LiveOak Fiber is proud to support this evening of purpose-driven networking for our local military community,” Orner said. The event provides opportunities to engage with industry leaders, connect with recruiters and mentors, and network with veterans.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., attendees can scan a QR code onsite for a complimentary first drink as “a small thank you to those who serve, support, and strengthen our region.”

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Thursday, July 17, 6-9 p.m.
  • Location: The Island Resort, 1500 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach
  • Features: Industry leader engagement, recruiter connections, veteran networking
  • LiveOak Offering: First drink with QR code scan (6-8 p.m.) RSVP

LJ Schooners Luau

The fiber company will participate in one of Bluewater Bay’s popular summer events, attending LJ Schooners’ annual Luau & Tacky Tourist Night alongside a sailboat race.

“LiveOak Locale is headed to the docks for one of Bluewater Bay’s most beloved summer events,” Orner said. The celebration features traditional luau plates with local chef touches, live music and “that signature Schooners energy.”

LiveOak Fiber will offer food vouchers and additional perks available through QR code scanning at their onsite table.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Saturday, July 19, 6-10 p.m. (LiveOak presence 5-8 p.m.)
  • Location: LJ Schooners Dockside Restaurant & Oyster Bar, 290 Yacht Club Drive, Bluewater Bay

Celebrate Our Teachers Event

LOL will host a teacher appreciation event at Willingham’s Seafood, where LiveOak Fiber will recognize local educators as they prepare for the new school year.

“LiveOak Fiber is throwing a community celebration to say ‘THANK YOU’ to the heroes of every school year… our local teachers,” Orner said.

Teachers can visit the LiveOak Locale table, identify their local school, and receive a $100 gift card while supplies last. The number of gift cards available depends on community pre-registration, with 50 sign-ups yielding five teacher gifts, 100 sign-ups providing 10 gifts, and 200 or more registrations supporting 20 teachers.

The event includes live music by The Jae Rich Project and complimentary shrimp boil with drink in a shaded tent space.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Wednesday, July 24, 4:30-7 p.m.
