Stewby’s is coming to Okaloosa Island 🙌

To: Daily Rundown Readers

Good morning!

On Saturday afternoon, Stewby’s Seafood Shanty in Fort Walton Beach made a short announcement on their Facebook page that read,

Coming this Summer to Okaloosa Island. Santa Rosa Blvd. Across the street from the first public beach access Blue Dolphin Beachwalk. Not Moving Racetrack. This will be Stewby’s Second Location. This should help relieve congestion on Racetrack.

Stewby’s on Okaloosa Island

Stewby’s is one of my favorite places to eat (Even my 90 year old Grandmother loves the food!). I just don’t go there much because it’s across town and if you don’t time it right…there won’t be any place to sit!

If you aren’t familiar with Stewby’s, here’s a quick rundown:

Stewby’s Seafood Shanty is based off an old family restaurant called Sam’s Oyster House. Sam’s Oyster House was founded back in the late 60’s as a small seafood take-out.

All of the seafood is fresh and locally bought with the fish coming straight off the boats in Destin. Their building is built from an old portable school classroom and placed on an old car lot on Racetrack Road.

I’m pretty excited about their second location and I think it will do incredibly well during the season with tourists.

Over to you! Have you eaten at Stewby’s before? What’s your favorite thing to order?
