The Okaloosa County State Legislative Delegation has canceled its planned public hearing due to scheduling conflicts and will announce a new date.
- The meeting, originally scheduled for Oct. 30 at the Destin City Council Chambers, will be held at a later date, according to a Wednesday announcement from the office of State Rep. Patt Maney.
“Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, we are no longer able to hold the Okaloosa County Delegation Meeting on October 30th,” the announcement stated. “We will distribute another notice and public announcement as soon as a new date has been selected.”
The delegation had planned to consider local bills, hear presentations from government entities and take public testimony on proposals for the 2025 regular session of the Florida Legislature.
The Okaloosa County legislative delegation consists of state Sen. Jay Trumbull, state Sen. Don Gaetz, state Rep. Nathan Boyles and Maney.
“We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to meeting with the constituents of Okaloosa County,” the announcement stated.
A new date for the meeting has not been announced.

Can we please get condo owners some relief from Legislation regarding milestone inspections and SIRS?? This is out of hand, and condos under 6 stories should be exempt from this ridiculous legislative requirement!
