Drivers will encounter a minor traffic shift on Santa Rosa Boulevard from just south of U.S. 98 to the roundabout north of U.S. 98 starting the week of Sunday, Feb. 1.
- Additionally, the roundabout is under construction with a partial closure. The entrance to Marler Park is now accessible from the northwest roundabout exit. Detour signage is in place to guide drivers safely through the work zone.
The temporary closure is required to construct the new Santa Rosa Boulevard alignment beneath the future Brooks Bridge. This temporary traffic pattern is expected to be in place until mid-2026, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The work is part of the $171-million Brooks Bridge replacement project that includes constructing two new, parallel bridges that will increase capacity to six travel lanes. The current bridge, which opened in 1966, has four lanes.
