Destin Seafood Festival and Fishing Rodeo Kickoff October!

Destin – Miramar Beach

This weekend is the 39th annual Seafood Festival on the Destin Harbor. It spans over a mile long all along the harbor and features tons of food carts along with arts and crafts vendors and live music in all the venues. There will also be a kid zone with cool activities for the little ones. The Seafood Fest also marks the kick off of the Annual Fishing Rodeo, so you’ll be able to watch the boats come in with their catch. It kicks off Friday evening at 4 pm and goes 10 to 10 on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. The event is FREE and open to the public!

There’s a FREE Beach Bonfire every Friday night in front of Surfside Resort on Scenic 98! There’s a bar with food and cocktails available right there on the beach and of course you can’t have a bonfire without SMORES! The bonfire is kid and pet friendly. The Market Shops at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will host their 3rd Annual Bloody Mary Festival benefitting Habitat for Humanity Walton County on Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The third annual event will feature unlimited tastes of the Emerald Coast’s most creative and innovative Bloody Mary’s along with a bubbly bar and local brews. Food will be available for purchase. ALSO Habitat for Humanity is in need of volunteers! If you want to support the cause and donate your time, go sign up at Walton County Habitat.org

Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door….also VIP tickets are available for $100 each and include valet parking, a private VIP lounge with food, additional specialty cocktails and of course- large screen televisions streaming SEC football. For a direct link to buy your tickets, click here.

So maybe you aren’t really into Bloodys, Bubbly or Beer but you stil want to support Habitat for Humanity? Well Bijoux at the Market Shops is bringing back their Sunday Brunch for the fall! Their first brunch will actually be this Saturday October 7th, and a portion of proceeds will go towards Habitat for Humanity! After this first week, brunch will be every Sunday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Reservations aren’t required but encouraged.

30A – Santa Rosa Beach

This Saturday October 6th is HOUNDFEST at Idyll Hounds Brewing Company in Santa Rosa Beach. They are celebrating 3 years of being in the beer biz with a big event featuring live music, food aaaand of course- BEER 🍻! They’ll also have special small batches that will only be available at the event! Tickets are $30 in advance for $40 at the door IF there are any left. Tickets are available on eventbrite. The 2nd Annual Watersound PorchFest is THIS SATURDAY from 3-6 PM! The event is FREE and features Live music on the front porches and lawns throughout the Watersound Origins neighborhood. You’ll see artists like Huck and Lilly, Sean Dietrich and the Boiled Peanut Vendors, The Graytones and more. There will also be a cornhole tournament!

Fort Walton Beach

Starting TODAY – The Gulf on Okaloosa Island is hosting their Give Back days to benefit local organizations like Sinfonia, Fisher House, Shelter House, and more. All you have to do is go into the restaurant on any Tuesday from now until Thanksgiving week and enjoy lunch, dinner or happy hour and 10% will go back to the organization selected for that week. Each Tuesday benefits a different non-profit and this week is going to the Taylor Haugen Foundation.

Downtown Fort Walton Beach’s Art Walk is this Friday night from 5:30-8:30pm. This week, the downtown association is encouraging everyone to bring their furry friends downtown while you stroll Brooks Street and enjoy wine and snacks from several downtown businesses, local art, live entertainment, and more! The Art Walk will have water and handmade dog treats from 3 Dogs and a Chick throughout Downtown FWB! It’s a great way to start off your weekend!

Pensacola

The 9th Annual Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival kicks off TOMORROW Wednesday October 4th and goes throughout the weekend. Hear the stories behind some of your favorite songs as more than 100 songwriters perform on 15 stages throughout Pensacola Beach . BaseFEST is coming to the naval base in Pensacola this Saturday, October 7th. The Fest is headlined by DNCE and features multi-platinum country duo Thomson Square, Matt Smith & More. BaseFEST is free and open to the community, however, Civilians WILL NEED A TICKET to access the base and can get their FREE ticket at basefestmusicfestival.com. New Biz!

Hey 30A-ers, Chef Phil McDonald and Dave Rauschkolb who you already know from Bud & Alley’s in Seaside have recently opened Black Bear Bread company in the shops at Grayton Beach. This little gem features fresh baked bread, seasonal produce for breakfast and lunch and apparently the food is ridiculously delicious. When you go check em, share a food photo and use #getthecoast.

Vintage Barn is a new Antiques & Collectibles Vendor Mall in Fort Walton Beach. They are currently remodeling the old City Produce building on Beal Parkway across from Walmart. Vendor Booths are completely sold out and Vintage Barn is looking to open to the public very soon! As soon as they announce an official date, we will be sure to let you know!
