Destin – Miramar Beach

Halloween Haunt

This Friday October 27th the Destin Commons will be hosting their Halloween Haunt from 6-8 pm. It’s going to be a frightfully fun time for the family on Halloween! This eerie event will be full of kid’s creepy crafts, fantasy face painting, trick-or-treating, a costume contest. Get creative and bring the kids and dogs, dressed in their bewitching best for the costume contest. After the contest, kids can go trick-or-treating in a safe and friendly environment at the stores throughout Destin Commons.

21st Annual Halloween 5K/10K Run/Walk

McGuire’s Irish Pub of Destin is hosting their 21st Annual Halloween 5K/10K Run/Walk this Saturday, October 28 at 9am. Destin’s BEST post race party featuring live entertainment, Irish fare, Irish Wakes, McGuire’s ale and plenty of debauchery. Early registration is $30 and includes a t-shirt! BooLu’s

This Saturday October 28th, LuLu’s Destin is hosting BooLu’s from 2pm – 5pm! There will be Costume Contests for all ages, inflatables, pumpkin painting, a huge Trunk or Treat and much, much, more! The event is free to attend!

Pumpkinpalooza at HarborWalk Village

This Sunday October 29th is Pumpkinpalooza at HarborWalk Village! Spook-tacular family fun Kicks off at noon with trick-or-treating at the shops and restaurants with Halloween arts and crafts. At 2pm the kids’ costume contest begins on the Main Stage followed by the four-legged pet costume contest at 4 pm.

Boofest

Also this Sunday October 29th is Boshamps’ BOOFEST kicking off at 3 pm. There will be live music by Continuum from 3-6pm, a BBQ buffet for $10, silent auction, costume contests for kids and pets, face painting, pumpkin painting and MORE! There’s a $5 suggested donation at the door. All proceeds benefit the future Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the Family Birth Place at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Noche de los Muertos

Alys Beach’s Noche de los Muertos party at Caliza pool is this Friday, Oct 27th from 8-11:30. There’s a $1,000 cash prize for Best Costume! Music by DJ Jason Jani, costumes required, cash bar, ages 21 and up. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door. 3rd Annual Brew ‘n’ Boo Halloween Beer Festival

Pier Park is hosting their 3rd Annual Brew ‘n’ Boo Halloween Beer Festival on Pier Park Drive this Saturday, October 28th. You’ll be able to sample dozens of beers from local and national breweries and enjoy live music. Wristbands can be purchased in advance at the Pier Park mall office for $25 or at the event for $35. Brew ‘n’ Boo Halloween guests must be 21 or older to enter and since this is a Halloween event, be sure to come in your best looking costume.

Fort Walton Beach – Okaloosa Island

2nd Annual Tricks and Treasures

The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island will be hosting the 2nd Annual Tricks and Treasures on Tuesday, October 31 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This free family-friendly Halloween event will feature trick-or-treating throughout the Boardwalk, live entertainment with Capt. Davey & Crew, and numerous kid’s activities, all in a safe and fun beach-front environment. Additionally, there will be a treasure map game, food & drink specials, carnival games and…Kids Eat Free at several of the restaurants!!!

Fall Carnival

The City of FWB invites everyone to come out for their Fall Carnival this Friday, October 27th from 6-9 pm at the FWB Rec Center on Jet Drive. This FREE, family-friendly event features candy, games, bounce houses, face painting, kid’s activities, Trick-or-Treat-Trail, and more! Concessions will also be available for purchase onsite.

Fantasy Ball

The Gulf on Okaloosa Island is hosting their first Fantasy Ball, an outdoor halloween festival kicking off at 10 pm. You better do it big with your costume, because the top guy and girl in the costume contest will win $1000 each! The event will also have aerial performers swinging from the rooftops, contortionists, fire dancers, and so much more! They will also have free body painters to take your costume to the next level. Halloween Celebration

Uptown Station’s Halloween Celebration is this Saturday, October 28th from 4-8 pm. Kids can visit all participating merchants for trick-or-treating fun and after dark, head to Central Park for the first movie of the night, Toy Story of Terror. They are closing out night with a second movie, the beloved Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus. This event is complimentary for all who attend, so put on your costume and get ready for a spooky night! Trunk or Treat

There are a few Trunk or Treats happening this week, so here’s the rundown: On Thursday, October 26th the 5th Annual Trunk or Treat is going down at Liza Jackson Park from 6-8pm. On Saturday, October 28th Calvary Baptist Church is hosting their Trunk or Treat from 6-8pm. And then on Sunday October 29th, both Shalimar United Methodist Church & Trinity United Methodist Church are hosting their Trunk or Treats starting at 5pm. Halloween Crypt Crawl

There is a free Halloween Crypt Crawl happening in Downtown Fort Walton Beach this Saturday, October 28th. Start at any of the 6 locations to get a card including Coasters, Salty Duck, Green Door Music Hall, Giovanni’s One89, The Block, and Fokkers. Get your card stamped at all 6 locations and bring it to The Block by 10:45 for a chance to win prizes.

7th Annual Gumbo Throwdown

Not Halloween related, but definitely a “must know about” event is First City Bank of Florida’s 7th Annual Gumbo Throwdown on Thursday, October 26th from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Enjoy a New Orleans style gumbo competition with live music, gumbo tasting, beignets, beer & wine through the teller line as well as door prizes and raffle drawings. There will be celebrity judges to pick the overall gumbo winner as well as a “People’s Choice” category! This event is benefiting Fresh Start for Children and Families, which is a local charity that renews hope and rebuilds lives for children and families of the homeless, veterans and persons with disabilities in the communities of Okaloosa and Walton County. There will be a $10.00 fee at the door.

Pensacola

Barktoberfest

This Saturday is Pensacola Humane Society’s Barktoberfest event, kicking off at 9 am and going all day until 4 pm! Bring your furry friend out to Seville Square in their costume! Enjoy Games, Demonstrations, Costume Contests, adoptions and multiple local vendors! The event is free to attend.

Pensacola Halloween Witches Bicycle Ride

Also this Saturday is the Pensacola Halloween Witches Bicycle Ride starting at 4 pm at The Vineyard at 12th avenue in East Hill! All ages and all bicycles welcome. Deck your bikes out and of course – come in costume! The ride is a fundraiser for Pensacola School of Liberal Arts located in East Hill. To participate, there’s a suggested donation of $20 for adults, $10 for students and military and $5 for kids. If you want to ride, registration starts at 3 pm! If you don’t want to ride, just go for the festivities! There’s also an after party for everybody to get witchy with it!
