A big change is happening on Beal Parkway. The Playground RV Park and Cakemasters location has been purchased by ZT Motors and will become the new Toyota dealership location.

The property was purchased by ZT Motors Realty LP on August 31, 2015 for the small price of $3,940,000.

ZT Motors will now have all of the property shown in the map below.

So what does that mean for our beloved Cakemasters?

I spoke with Garrick Hatfield at ZT Motors where he did confirm the purchase and said that both the RV Park and Cakemasters are aware of the purchase.

When I asked what would happen to Cakemasters, Garrick responded with:

Cakemasters will be staying in their current location…in their existing building.

He continued saying that ZT Motors is committed to the community and given that Cakemasters is an anchor in Fort Walton Beach it was agreed that they should stay.

Adding to the excitement, Garrick went on to say that the new Toyota Dealership will have a cafe inside. All of the food from the cafe will be provided by Cakemasters!

So not only will Cakemasters remain in their location, but they’ll be baking goodies inside the dealership.

Breaking ground on the Toyota Dealership is scheduled for March 2016.

Playground RV Park has roughly 5 months left at their current location, and then ZT Motors will begin the initial phase of the dealership.

Garrick explained that their hope is be completely finished by the 1st quarter of 2017, with additional plans for a new Mazda and BMW dealership.

Calls to Playground RV Park have not been returned.
