Fort Walton Beach Police Chief Robert Bage reappointed to state training commission

Fort Walton Beach Police Chief Robert Bage has been reappointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.

Governor Ron DeSantis announced Tuesday the reappointment of Fort Walton Beach Police Chief Robert Bage to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, along with five new appointments and one other reappointment to the state law enforcement training body.

  • Bage currently serves as President of the Florida Police Chiefs Association Executive Board and is a member of the Florida County City Management Associations Professional Standard Committee. The Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission oversees law enforcement training standards throughout Florida.

A United States Navy veteran, Bage brings extensive educational credentials to his continued role on the commission. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida International University and holds a master’s degree in public administration from Barry University.
