HCA Florida DeFuniak Springs Emergency now open, serving patients

The $19 million emergency care facility extends HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital's reach into Walton County with 24/7 care for adults and children.

HCA Florida DeFuniak Springs Emergency is now open and serving patients at 160 Twin Springs Way, providing round-the-clock emergency healthcare to residents and visitors of DeFuniak Springs and surrounding Walton County communities.

  • The facility, which held its ribbon cutting ceremony last month, is an extension of HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital’s main campus in Niceville. Located off Highway 331 just north of Interstate 10 at exit 85, the 11,570-square-foot emergency room offers full-service care for adults and children.

β€œWe are honored to expand access to round-the-clock emergency care by board-certified physicians at two convenient locations β€” our new HCA Florida DeFuniak Springs Emergency and our emergency room at HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital,” said Todd Jackson, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital. β€œPart of our broader HCA Healthcare network, HCA Florida DeFuniak Springs Emergency provides expert local care supported by the experience and resources of one of the largest emergency care networks in the nation.”

The $19 million facility features 10 private emergency patient care rooms, a trauma and cardiopulmonary resuscitation room, CT scan capabilities, digital X-ray technology and an on-site laboratory. Board-certified emergency medicine physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals staff the facility.

The emergency room will employ approximately 35 full-time healthcare professionals as part of HCA Florida Healthcare, Florida’s largest emergency room network.
