A new dock and pier are coming to Old Town Landing in Niceville, with a groundbreaking ceremony set for 1 p.m. Friday to mark the start of construction on the waterfront project.

  • The project is funded through the Niceville Community Redevelopment Agency and Okaloosa County Tourist Development Funds.

It is a key component of the CRA’s broader Niceville Landing Rehabilitation Project, which aims to revitalize the landing area with a splash pad, commercial upland development and other community-focused amenities in addition to the dock and pier.

The ceremony is open to the public.

More information about the CRA and the Old Town Landing Redevelopment Plan is available on the city’s project dashboard at cityofniceville.org.

“Destin Panama City Pensacola Crestview Niceville are all benefiting from having nice roads. FWB is considered a backwater community undeserving of of safe roads (Eglin Parkway is crumbling).”
