Last Monday, the Destin City Council was briefed on the Norriego Point Park improvements project.

According to Parker Destin, Legal/Political correspondent, the phase three improvements will include:

  • Dune walk-overs
  • Showers and restrooms
  • Pavilions
  • ADA access

“The Department of Environmental Protection gave the city council the low-down on exactly where that project stands,” said Destin. “They have 95% complete plans and are about to send it out for bid for construction.”

“I thinks the project is about to be in an 18-month window where we can see these improvements being open to the public,” continued Destin. “It’s a very exciting project.”
