Okaloosa County Elections Supervisor named national chairperson

Paul Lux will lead Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center through June 2026, focusing on election security nationwide.

Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections Paul Lux has been named chairperson of the Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center, a national organization focused on election security.

  • The EI-ISAC operates through a partnership between the Center for Internet Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Election Infrastructure Subsector Government Coordinating Council.

Lux will serve as chairperson from June 2025 through June 2026. His responsibilities include creating an environment of objectivity for all EI-ISAC member organizations, helping guide the Executive Committee in providing input to the EI-ISAC strategy, presiding over Executive Committee meetings, and creating sub-committees to research and make recommendations on behalf of the membership.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be entrusted by both state and local elections professionals from across our nation to serve the broader community at large during this time of preparation for mid-term elections while facing our unique challenges head-on,” Lux said.

Lux has worked in the Okaloosa County elections office since 1999 in various capacities before being elected Supervisor of Elections in 2008. He stated his commitment to uphold the EI-ISAC’s mission and advance the security of elections critical infrastructure through the organization’s community.

The appointment positions Lux to lead national election security efforts as the country prepares for upcoming mid-term elections.
