The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Okaloosa County until 1:45pm.

At 12:55pm, the NWS reported that severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4 miles south of Baker to Mary Esther to 28 miles south of Destin, moving northeast at 50 mph.

According to NWS, radar indication shows 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

“Hail damage to vehicles is expected,” wrote NWS. “Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.”

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 6:00pm for northwestern
Florida.
