Four people were rescued from a capsized vessel by the Coast Guard on Wednesday near the Destin bridge.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders were notified by Coast Guard Station Destin at 8:40pm. The crew was returning from an earlier case when they came across four boaters with a damaged vessel.

Station Destin’s 24-foot Special Purpose Boat-Shallow Water crew was launched and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office’s 22-foot jet-drive boat crew were also launched.

All four boaters were safely rescued by Station Destin and transported to be seen by emergency medical personnel.
