The Rotary Club of Destin will host its 13th Annual Cajun Crawfish Bash this Friday, May 16, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at The Towne Centre at Seascape.

  • The fundraiser, co-hosted by Mezcal Mexican Grill, will support four local causes: the Robert Hafner Scholarship Fund, A Bed 4 Me, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast and Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation.

“Our open-air venue captures the true spirit of Louisiana, and this event helps us fund initiatives close to our mission,” said Club President Wayne Bernheisel. “We’re committed to supporting education, helping families in need and eradicating hunger, right here at home.”

According to a news release, the event will feature Louisiana crawfish served with traditional fixings — potatoes, sausage and corn on the cob. Alternatives including hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken will be available for non-crawfish eaters.

Entertainment will include live music from the Jenna McClelland Band, a silent auction, bourbon pull, magic performances by MagiShaun, a photo booth from Events Photo Booth 360 and face painting for children.

  • Tickets cost $40 for a flat of crawfish with fixings, $50 for All-You-Can-Eat, and $15 for kids’ or non-crawfish meals. Children three and under eat free. Each ticket includes one complimentary drink. VIP reserved tables for 10 are available for $500.

The Rotary Club of Destin, established in 1979, consists of approximately 58 local leaders. The club meets Tuesdays at 7:15 a.m. at Regatta Bay Golf & Country Club and hosts its “Sunset Club” on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. at O’Quigley’s in Destin.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite, from any Destin Rotarian or on the club’s Facebook page. The Towne Centre at Seascape is located at 80 Seascape Drive in Miramar Beach.
