The 42nd Annual Home Show from the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton County kicked off and Saturday, and continues through Sunday.

The show features nearly 50 indoor exhibit booths filled with information on products and services for those who plan to build new homes or wish to remodel or even “spruce up” their current homes.

“We have everything from renovation companies to air conditioning companies to kitchen and bath,” said Jennifer Fleming, BIA. ” We have beauty supply companies, mattress vendors and many more.”

Sunday will see 3 different seminars too:

  • 11:30amCommon Foundation Problems – Causes, Symptoms, and Solutions with Alpha Foundations
  • 1:00pmAll About Kitchens and Baths – The Legacy Cabinet Company
  • 2:30pmColor Explained – Defined Interiors

And while the Convention Center on Okaloosa Island is under construction, the Home Show will still be open from 11:00am-4:00pm on Sunday.

“Attendees can park in the north parking lot or parking garage and enter through the north entrance,” explained Fleming. “Typically people would park in the front parking lot and walk in the front entrance but the front entrance is closed.”

And what would a home show be without some actual builders? On Sunday, Jason Carducci with JP Carducci Construction will be at the BIA’s booth from about 2pm – 4pm to help answer any questions you might have on new construction.

“As builders, we always get a ton of questions and I know that I get a lot of messages about new construction,” said Carducci. “This is a great way to come out and support the home show while also getting some answers regarding a project. Think of it like an Ask The Expert.”

Admission to the Home Show is free but attendees are encouraged to donate school supplies in lieu of an admission fee!

  • Wondering what to donate?
  • Crayons
  • Colored Pencils
  • Washable Markers
  • Dry Erase Markers
  • Folders
  • Backpacks
  • #2 Pencils
  • Glue Sticks
  • Notebooks

Again, the the final day of the Home Show is Sunday, August 8th from 11am – 4pm at the Convention Center on Okaloosa Island.
