The Fort Walton Beach Junior Bombers will host the 2025 Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA) Playoffs on June 15-16, for the second consecutive year, while also celebrating a team member’s selection to represent the United States internationally.
- The Junior Bombers, established in 2016 as the first youth female roller derby team in the Florida panhandle, previously hosted the 2024 JRDA Playoffs where they placed third after competing against teams from Atlanta, Nashville, Texas and Tampa.
Team member Dusty Mars has been selected for the 2025 JRDA Team USA and will travel to Australia this summer to compete against teams from around the world.
The Junior Bombers operate two divisions: the B-29 All Stars competitive travel team that participates in regional and national JRDA-sanctioned events, and the Junior Bombers developmental team that focuses on skill building and internal scrimmages for younger or less experienced skaters.

Founded by head coach Nicci Lee, also known as NiccVicious, the team provides a platform for girls aged 8 to 17 to develop character, athletic skills, teamwork and confidence through roller derby.
- The coaching staff includes assistant coach Monica Anaya (Michi Gang$ter), new skater coach Amy Wiseman (Just Mary), and team manager Polly McMillan.
The team practices twice weekly and competes regularly throughout the year. Through their performance in the upcoming 2025 JRDA Playoffs, the Junior Bombers hope to earn a spot at the championship event in Loveland, Colorado.
As members of the Junior Roller Derby Association, which governs competitive junior roller derby worldwide, the Fort Walton Beach team continues to build on their reputation in the sport while representing the Florida panhandle at national events.
The 2025 Junior Roller Derby Playoffs will be held June 15-16 at the Rigdon Center in Fort Walton Beach.
