On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of suspicious activity on St. Joseph Cove in the Niceville area.

  • On Tuesday afternoon, a student reported getting off his bus and being summoned by a white male in his thirties operating a newer model white van.

According to the OCSO, the student says the driver followed him, motioning continuously for him to come to the van. The situation scared the student who ran into his home and told his older brother.

When the older brother exited, he says he found the van parked in front of the house. Upon sight of the older brother, the van sped off down the road.

Deputies are continuing to investigate the report and are asking anyone with information to contact the OCSO at 850-651.7400.
